I Broke Away

I Broke Away

When I was little, people always made fun of me
But they didn't care of how it felt
They laughed, I cried
I just needed a little help

When I got bullied
I'd walked away
They'd get mad
And make me pay

When I got dumped
I'd throw a fist
He'd walk away
Then I'd cut my wrist

When I started to fight
I couldn't stop
My parents would come
And call the cops

When I started to drink
It'd turn into a binge
soon enough, I'd throw out the alcohol
and take out the syringe

When I started to smoke
I'd always feel cool
I lost my friends
cause I was a puffin' fool

When I was proven guilty
I had learned my lesson
Later on I went to the church
And I had to make a confession

When I grew up
I seen the light everyday
I didn't worry about drugs or alcohol
because I broke away
