Carvings in a tree

by elizabeth   Mar 13, 2008

Her stomach then turned
as she wrote her words
no one else was concerned
their carelessness was absurd

she was righting from the heart
writing to be free
she knew from the start
that this had to be

as she carved in the tree a dove
she wrote with heart-pounding love
and beside it lay
EO and DJ

she walked away with all the students stares
but deep in her heart she had no cares
they can say what they want even be mean
but she knew that her writing would always be seen

so she loved him now
and she loved him quick
because forever would her words
in that tree always stick

Elizabeth.... this is about my boyfriend and living in the moment.. god i love him.. comment if you can
