Despair's True Love

by KaceyBelladonna   Mar 13, 2008

Walking down the hall at school,
you see him coming towards you.
He looks at you, your stomach tightens.
He smiles, your heart skips a beat.

He's near you now, you open you mouth;
a casual, funny remark at the ready.
Has he finally come to his senses?!

He's next to you now
and no one else in the world exists.

You swivel to watch him... he grabs your friend by the waist and leads her away.

The despair returns,
curls up around your heart
and is once again at home.
