Shattered Sun

by Indian Comma Bean   Mar 14, 2008

Broken glass shattered
on the rising sun,
Casting dancing shadows
on the faces of yesterday.

Ancient elders groan,
Awakening to the beckoning call-
Leafed beards rustling to the wind,
Slowly they alarm the wild.

Fiery blaze overlooks the knoll,
Bestowing life to weeping night,
Creatures of the nocturne flee,
As Ardent figures arise torpidly.

Whimsical melody of winged flock,
Echoing into crimson dawn,
As ivory clouds tumble over,
Time lost in unscathed meadows.

Emotion, emotion, emotion! Thers so much emotion in a short and simple poem. It brings me great envy to say you have such talent to confine all this energy into a short and elegant poem.
