Untitled for lack of a better word

Steps studded with stars
black velvet
pierced through with light
so soft, so chilled
but not enough to feel the cold
just like mist
a stairway made of mist
and starlight
with pillars
and towers
and arches
and spires
of clouds all along the stairs
at the top
The Golden Gate
beautiful moonlight melting with gold
such a wonderous scene
what a place
to be welcomed home
and a little girl weeps
as she walks up the stairs
each step echoing
then melting
fading away in the clouds
but she wants to go home
why does she have to go to heaven now?
why must she climb these stairs
so alone
on her way to see god
a god who loves her
who sees her as beautiful
who wants to wipe away her tears
but a god she cannot stand in front of
pure white like the clouds
and she is ashamed
and she wants to go home
not to her Father's home
but home to her mother
her mother's warm embrace
but she shivers
and continues on
death was what she chose
now she must be brave
and stand in front of Him
