about society
I never understood the concept of taking out anger upon other people; it's such an ironic concept. We are infused with anger due to an event and thus we take it out on others. We Americans are far too emotional, always wearing our emotions on our sleeves. It seems that when one is angered it is somehow justified to wreak havoc and destruction upon others? Is it somehow justified to be angered at your friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, parents, or sibling when you are simply having a bad day at work? Such an ironic topic and the worst part of all is, he who speaks of this topic is without a doubt a hypocrite. Without a doubt I do not deny the hypocrisy of everything I state, I accept it with open arms. But in the midst of all this, the question remains: why is it done? Why should anyone think that because they are having a bad day it is justified to emit anger upon others caught in the line of fire? Is that fair at all? Perhaps it is. That I truly do not know. The worst of all is when a person who truly cares for another, reaches out and attempts to comfort the distressed individual, but is only met and thanked with anger and attitude. Anger that the comforter had no part in, anger that somehow devoured those who are not even involved, those who have not even done a bit of wrong. So what to do? Accept life for the irony and turn the shoulder and look the other way? That I truly do not know. But what I do know is, I will deal with your attitude because I care and because I admire you far too much. So I will take your words with an open ear, and hope for a better tomorrow. |
