Bitter Sweet

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Mar 14, 2008

Wandering aimlously down the streets
My close friends by my side
When I stumble upon a couple
Matching each others walk stride for stride

Suddenly my heart hits the floor
Underneath me my feet give out
The longing in my soul is powerful
I love you without a doubt

I lift myself off of unwanted ground
"Sorry I tripped" I tell my friends
Taking off my heels I begin to run
Losing myself around each new bend

Reaching the purest of green fields
I fall softly upon the ground
Staring up at beautiful stars
Ignoring all the couples walking around

I'm enjoying all of the sights
It's the chance of a life time
But without you here
It's like a poem without rhyme

I've reached many new worlds
And I can lose myself in each one
I whisper, "Randal I love you"
Waiting for when, this trip is done

I just want to hear
Your voice once again
Want your arms around me
Creating my safe den
