I was happy
you made me smile
you said you love me
i believed you cared

i thought you were real
the one that could heal
but you were the same
i was just another piece
to this terrible game

i really loved you

i got a weird feeling
it made me sad so i dialed
you up and had to try
not to cry

you said it would all be fine
you assured me it was okay
we talked about our problem
you said it would go away

i never knew you hadn't
planned to stay

i believed it to be true

i trusted my heart with you
i thought you were the answer
but you were just the same
