The Servant Of Love

by RainbowSlider   Mar 15, 2008

I can feel the need like you.
Helping is a little thing I do.
After the job is all done
It helps to help someone.

Because they won't ever ask
And it is just a small task.
The reward is yours to keep.
It helps them when they sleep.

It lets them know we care.
They aren't going any where.
And after you get to go away.
They have to wait and stay.

Can't help the way they are.
They come from near and far.
Just a little of your company.
They know that you are busy.

But this little thing you do;
It will all come back to you.
It isn't something done in vain.
After its done love will remain.

    Hiya,
I really can relate to this poem. I have been a carer for over ten years now, so I know it is more about the 'little things' than anything else. Time is precious and the most valuble gift you can give anyone.
    Well done 5/5
