Funeral Pyre

"Funeral Pyre"
Written by: Red Lady

Somewhere within, my heart desires
...No tears become...my eyes disdain
Pick up my feet, just to take another step
Quench these burning fires!

Interupt my solitude...
Since nothing else there is to feel
Numb to the vacancy of my own humanity
That much, to say, is true.

My soul cries willingly in the night
But I can't even hear my own voice.
Sincerity the climax of my own mind
Since there's nothing more I can do with this fight.

I look into your eyes
I feel something stir
Inside me, my own fire is palpable
It's you who I despise.

How I want to crush your vein
I can see it pulse inside your skin
How I wish to take a blde to purify what it is I detest
To cleanse you of my own pain.

See in my eyes...what will you find?
It changes from day to day...
Yet somehow, deep within, I'm cold
Frozen...as I know your kind.

Look into my fire...
Burning in your midst
Look into the ash that remains
From this tireless, fruitless pyre!

Feel my aggravation!
Isn't it now complete?!
Leave me to my silence!
This one request, I'll not repeat!
