"Peephole"
Written by: Red Lady

...old desires
they come up to me
They listen intently to my breathing
waiting for one lung to collapse
In vain I shew them off
their repetitive stain etching their numbness upon my mind
they whisper lies to my skin
they edge their way within
they come to me
laughing intently
watching me with eagle's eye
and ensnaring my smile for their own once again
they come they come
thither and here they stand belated
see? they say... chuckle so softly
the voice of a man in the midst of tyranny
the violence comes up out of the bleak water
the riddles explain themselves with false eloquence
the silver edge of the blade enticing
no more... I put it in the deep
it comes - my decision
it comes and knocks persistently
and my senses hath retained another
and yet another
another smile obtained on the other side of this door
they've come...
