Depths of the Moon

"Depths of the Moon"
Written by: Red Lady

This depth of joy I feel inside
Lifts up all the times I cried
I look at the stars and I softly hum
With cadence to my warm heart's drum
In silence I waited -- and waited until
This moment in time that time couldn't kill
Even the moon shines forth its silver array
As it travels the sky, it lights my way
The grass is chilled with twilight's dew
The mist has not strayed from the light of the new
I cannot contain it -- this excitement within!
It sorts through my thoughts and leaves chills on my skin!
This moment in time will never sooth such intake
And every morning I shall smile when I awake.
The comfort of my dreams no longer seems so far
Along with this feeling -- none can seem to par
Let me dance in this perfection -- such a splendor
What a peaceful rest in this wonderous surrender.
