A Simple If...

"A Simple If..."
Written by: Red Lady

If I were to say:
That I was wrong -- would you believe me?
That there was everything I could do to stop it
And nothing you could do to stop me?

If I were to have said:
Come with me to eternal sin...
Would you have joined me?
That it could have been something that you might have never gotten out of?
That it could have been my fault?

If I were to have said, let's fly away...
Where would we be today?
We'd see each other every day and never know decay.
And we'd know each other's kiss in every moment.

What if I were to look you in the eyes and tell you that I was sorry. That what I was doing was wrong and that I should have listened to you? What if... so many things had been different...
