Getting Rid of Herself

by cerealbox   Mar 15, 2008

She came home drunk
Thinking it was the only way to forget
Forget that one beautiful boy
Who was the only reason for her living

But then he broke her heart
Now she doesn't have anywhere to run and hide
And so she's desperate
Not sure of what she wants to do

She walks into the bathroom
And appreciating every moment of her life that she has left
She slowly takes off her clothes
And quietly thanks everyone for putting up with her

The bathtub is now filled with water
The faucet still open and running
She gets in the tub and whispers, "goodbye"
And as she drowns herself, so do her sorrows
