No Pain Outside

by xxxBrokenHeartxxx   Mar 16, 2008

I have the razor in my hand
and I'm looking at my scars
Then I take the razor
And drag it acroos my skin
I am numb to the pain
I watch the blood well up
and then watch as it drips down my arm
All the while I feel no pain outside
all I feel is the pain inside
Sometimes when I cut
I think that if I press down hard enough
The world will stop spinning
The lights will go out
And all the screaming will cease
But I don't press down
So the world keeps spinning
The lights stay on
And I still hear the screams
But I still feel the pain inside
Because I feel no pain outside

I wrote this poem during one of my bad times
so I know that alot of you can relate to what I'm
talking about.

    Please put the blade down.
the poem is vivid. It explains what teens go through on a daily basis. I myself have never cut, so I'm not here to criticize it, I'm just scared of something I don't understand, and it make me sad.
