Motional

by Wings Of Flames   Mar 16, 2008

There once was a time,
My spirit a little torn,
Never would I breathe,
To wish I was reborn,

Your scent growing faint,
My mouth a little dry,
You've left something behind,
With every tear I cry,

You've left my heart to dwell,
Which I can't forget,
Although these tears will fade,
In time the sun will set,

Bring me to my knees,
And I'll pray just for you,
The rain slits my skin,
And I bruise black and blue,

Time will fade this aching,
But now it all stands still,
I'm clawing at my empty chest,
Beside this window sill,

I see the world in motion,
In the end we move away,
I just wish the dark was warmer,
And that you were to stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this piece [: With short lines that pack a punch, and really feeling the presence of your heart, peering through the lines: I'd say it was a well written poem indeed.

    Write on,
    Take care,

Once again I thought this was a well written poem, and in fact, everything I wrote about the other poem goes for this too. Although, I will say that I thought this piece had a little more to it, it felt more real, more alive, more from yourself.
