Yesterday I saw you
In a most unexpected way
A dear friend in need
Wanting dignity not lead astray

I looked into your eyes
My choice was love or fear
And so one more of life's sudden downpours
Brought two friends oh so near

When we said goodbye last night
Our hearts were closer still
For we had survived in unexplored territory
That would have sent many running for the hills

We sat high in our saddles
As we grabbed our reigns on life
And welcomed our new path with laughter
In a most memorable delight

When circumstance surprises you
In a most unexpected play
Use the map that is drawn from love
And you will find your way
