Fading Black

Closing your eyes
You wait for the lies
Of those who surround you
And tell you everything is going to be alright

You can feel your body giving
Almost no longer living
Yet they continue the lies
The ones you no longer believe

A smile graces your lips
As you give into the grip
Of the darkness that has surrounded you
And it is all very true

You life goes away
Your soul no longer stays
It leaves this world like so many have before
And leaves behind the lies of others
