One last memory

by lost   Mar 18, 2008

Mistakes
The kind that bring this pain
The kind that tear away my sanity
The kind that chill me to the bone
The kind that always break everything I love down
With broken legs and tear filled eyes
I fall on my face and beg for your love
You're all I've ever wanted
And God knows you're all I've needed
But every time you come close
It's throwin in my face
The days of yesterday
And all I have to prove it happened
Are 97 scars scatted on my wrist
Each one it's own part
Of a story never ending
One unfolding every day
To bring memories to life
And the future crashing down
When things are said I never mean
I become a worthless being
A body but no spirit
Left to walk a baron road
Without a sense of hope
Cause even if I did
I'd only need to trip and fall
For things to blow up in my face
To imagine what it could have been
Is all that I can do
For now I see behind my lies
The hidden truth of my broken heart
Never to be free of sin
And the way my life used to be
I'll just sit back down
With my face to floor
And tears in my eyes
Just to watch it crumble to the ground
As a final slit across my wrist
Makes me your final memory
