Friend I left Behind

How could I leave my friend behind
She showed me all I needed to find
she always help me find my way
she always helped me through the day.

She was so small, yet so strong
she was the one that sheltered me all along
so I don't need my mom and dad
having her shelter me wasn't so bad.

She always put a smile on my face
In her heart I knew my place
she chased away my fears,
When I needed her, she was near.

She was always my helping hand
She showed me a softer place to land
she always saw the good in me
She always courage me to be what I wanted to be.

So how could I leave her behind,
She told me it would be fine,
but now I missing her so,
I wish I didn't let her go.
