Mausoleum

by Dylan Mccurry   Mar 18, 2008

As darkness surrounds me,
I happen to realize,
All my fears became reality
When I looked into your eyes.

Thunder begins to rumble,
Lightning begins to strike,
The rain starts beating down on me
In the middle of the night.

Transformation takes hold of me,
The moon rising in the sky,
I begin to howl
To hide my hollow cry.

Everything that I built up,
Crashed down on top of me,
All I really need is you
To save me from insanity.

I just want you to know I love you,
From the bottom of my heart,
But death came running in
And pulled us both apart.

Sitting out here in silence,
By your mausoleum door,
Wishing you could come back to me
In this torrential downpour.
