In God I Wish

by girlnextdoor   Mar 18, 2008

I wish I could surrender my soul,
to something bigger then myself.
I wish I could believe that all things in life,
are controlled by someone else.

At the end of the day,
all I have is myself.
At the end of the day,
I'm still stuck in this hell.

I wish someone hears me,
as I scream my fears to the night,
but they just echo in the darkness,
God is not there, nor is the light.

You can't force someone to love
but you also can't force them to believe.
In God I wish.

You claim God made all the beauty in the world,
who brought the pain?
God made the sunshine,
who made the rain?

You tell me I'm wrong, I have yet to see
That God loves everyone,
yet you all still hate me,
and all those who don't believe.

In God I wish.
