The Cherry-Blossom Tree

by chloe   Mar 19, 2008

A girl and a boy,
At the age of three.
Go to meet,
Under the cherry-blossom tree.

They played with the jacks,
They played with the dice.
Having a friend was,
Kind of nice.

Ten years later,
They're still best friends.
They meet,
Under the cherry-blossom tree(again).

Under the blossoms,
The boy steals a kiss.
Filling the girl,
With total bliss.

Ten more years pass by,
The boy is kneeling under the tree.
The words flow fluently out of his mouth,
'Will you marry me?'

There's a shriek of joy,
and a very loud 'YES!'
'How lucky I am,
To be this blessed!'

Ten more years pass by,
There's a carving on the tree.
'B+G=4ever',
Is clearly seen.

The boy and girl,
Are as happy as can be.
As they dine on their picnic,
Under the cherry-blossom tree.

Ten more years have gone by quick,
And the couple is getting old of age.
So they sat under the tree,
and made a wage.

'Whoever dies first,
Will be buried under this tree,
If you die first, I'll bury you.
If I die first, You'll bury me.'

Slowly under the tree,
As they closed their eyes.
They die together happily.

Thus telling the story,
Of the Cherry-Blossom Tree.
