Someone Not Me

I look in your eyes and I see the pain
Of another heartbreak that you've added
To your chain of broken links

If only you would let me in
I would show you what love could be
And you would never have to cry again

But I hold back and give you your space
Watching the tears roll down your face
And I hear you ask why

Why did it happen again
Why couldn't it have been
The way love is supposed to be
Why can't I find the love I need

And I let you cry
Find the strength to try
Just to see you fall
For someone else...someone not me

    Another masterpiece. it may not rhyme in parts, but all poems dont need all rhyme haha. i really like this poem, again, it reminds me of some past haunts haha. great work!
