When People are Around

by sweet escape   Mar 21, 2008

I'm sitting here trying not to think,
sitting here, I'm at my brink.
Wanting to cry
and wishing I could die.
Alone with my thoughts that bounce around,
never even making a sound.
A silent tear rolls down my cheek,
and then my eyes spring a leak.
Wiping them away before anybody can see,
and putting on my mask of pure glee.

Nice, I like how in the end of the poem you leave the impression that you hide all these sad emotions. Sometimes its hard to show sad emotions.

It flowed well, and was imaginative.

I've felt just like this myself a few times. I like that you wrote about trying to hide your sadness from people. it's a hard thing to do. but it's not something to do all of the time.trust me but good stuff =)
