Remember the slides
down at the park
we always used to hang out there
before it got dark

we always sat next to eachother
in and out of class
and then when the bell rang for hometime
we'd run out of school so fast

and then we started to grow up
and eventually got to highschool
we hung out with all our new friends
thinking we were so cool

we've had our bad moments
where we have gotten into fights
then i'd wake up to a ringing phone
in the middle of the night

i thank heaven
for sending this angel down to me
and she goes by the name
emily

no matter what happens
we'll always have eachother
