Shoreline.

by Chelsea   Mar 21, 2008

I find it quite soothing.
To find you rueing.
The day you left me there.

I told you no.
Please stay. I need you! don't go.
But to no avail.
You left me mid-wail.

And now as the beach, and I erode.
I find some comfort to know.

That I was better than she.
That I could conquer all 7 seas.
For you see
The ocean did not love her so
her mind was warped.
Her body did show
all the ways she could not contort.

She was quite bitter
and I was much wittier.
And when dawn came
She wasn't waiting
by the shore sane.
She was debating.
And drifting off to sea in pain.

Her hair did not sparkle
In the sunshine.
Her eyes did not darken
when she cried.
And when the sea
Swallowed her whole
It corroded her down.
Till' we found.
She had no soul.
