The lightning crashes to the ground
with such grace and beauty
it lights up everything around
it takes away the dark

the lightning flashes through the sky
it makes me feel so calm
though wherever that lightning crashed
it may have hit someone

this beautiful disaster in the sky
is everything I love
it takes away the pain inside
though someone payed the price
