The Lord Called Daddy Home

He went to the doctor
knowing he wasn't alright
the news he heard
made him fall to the floor and loose his sight

the months went by
and everyday he continued to fade
everyone knew
he'd only have a few more days

his eyes were turning yellow,
no long the bright beautiful blue
the lord would soon be calling him;
everyone knew.

he started staring in space
and every one had known
this was the day;
the lord called Daddy home.
