Deepest Fear

by Dan   Mar 22, 2008

Is our deepest fear that we are not what we think?
That in all honesty we fear something else
How we really fear how strong we actually are
It is inner strength, not the hatred we have for others that frightens us
Ask yourself,
Who says that I can be beautiful, brilliant, talented, unique?

Why can you not be this?
We all are the children of God are we not?
Trying to hide yourself does not help this world
Since when does good come from hiding away from it all
Just to please others around you

We all are meant to be unique
Born to show our true selves to all those far and wide
It is not just me or you or several people, it is to be shown by everyone
As the light of finally being yourself is seen
We give permission to all those unknowingly
To follow in suit
As we have freed ourselves from this fear of shadows
Being around others for us, has freed them of those undying fears as well

Good poem, clarity of verse, I saw it as a fear of success though I guess it's also about fearing our own dark inner nature as well.?Thought provoking, good job
