Go Back Home

by brie kelly wise   Mar 22, 2008

What we were was all a trance
All we wanted was one little chance
We wanted all that was fair
But we took a life and the four of us shared
A moment ago we were together
Now we're floating around like a feather
No more late night calls about our hearts
I tried to go back but it's amazingly hard
My heart will stay in four capsized parts
And we'll wait until another ending starts
I love you all for the endless falling
But we stood there our eyes up, calling
We waited for departure
But we realized we were never too sure
So we hold on tight
As we prepare for flight
We weren't around to see take off
From the ground we all laughed it off
This is how it ended again and again
We thought we would see each other forever
But in reality, forever is never
This was never easy and I'm sorry it had to be done
We've lived our lives, we had our fun
But now it's time to let go
I want to cry, but you said just not this time, though
I'll always hope for another chance to go back home
But wherever that is, I know I won't be alone
