A STATE OF MIND

by peter   Mar 22, 2008

They look I stare,
A glance a glare,
Passing like trains
Tracking down endless lanes,
Empty space's fill the air,
There is no face,
My presence - my shadow have fallen from grace,
Time has forgot,
And I'm not there,
Aged,.......raged,
But still encaged,
Chained - blinded by thought,
Feelings numbed,
But Still.......... feeling pain,
Ghosts haunting scaring the very depths of my soul,
Today like yesterday,
Tomorrow won't change,
Endless,

Time marches,
They still look,
But I don't stare
I just don't care,
Lights fade colours muted,
Loved left,....and ran out the door,
Tear stained cheeks facing blackened walls,
Cries drowned by Clocks ticking,
I'm sorry for living,
Life isn't forgiving,
Cheated of love,
The holding of hands,
"But"
Not of mine,
Can death be my release,
Or will I forever - be running lost,
In these corridors of time.
