Shooting Star

I saw a shooting star.
It flashed across the sky.
So fast it did fly.
It was an amazing sight.

The sky was dark.
It was mid of night.
Not a car in sight.
Just me and the dark

When I looked to the heavens.
The moon was full and luminous.
The stars were dazzling.
Their beauty so amazing.

It fell from the heavens.
A red blur in the dark.
As it cut it's path above
in the black velvet sky.

Then it was gone
just like that.
I had just enough
time to make a good wish.
