My Dying Day

by Sexual hysterias   Mar 23, 2008

I wanted him to know
But even through the pain,
I couldn't let it show

So I hid it all inside waiting for my dying day
But little did i really know
my heart had already faded away

Everyone tells you to listen to your heart
But what happens when the person you love
Has already hurt you and torn it apart

I watch as my blue skies fade to gray
The dark emotions fill my heart
as i still sit waiting for my dying day

Even with the gun pointed to my head
my hand then falls tenderly
and my emotions begin to shread

My face is covered in a teary way
as the one that i had once loved
is awaiting for my dying day

With the pills in my bloodstained hand
my mind begins to slowly wander
Hurting my loved ones, could i really stand

My mind was made up so then i say
Looks like you're going to for a while
sit and wait for my dying day

I love this poem. You write everything so well. I feel like I'm watching a movie, that's how powerful your imagery is. Such an emotional piece. Very nice work. Keep it up. Nik
