The Gift And Blessing Of

by cupidsxvictim   Mar 23, 2008

The melody of the waves crashing
with the voices of the young love passing
the gentle squeaks made by the wood on the pier
the gift and blessing of our ear

the slow and easy dip of the sun
into the far mystiques of the horizon
and its collision with the pastel colored sky
the gift and blessing of our eye

the flames nearby continue to fickle in size
they burn all the fears, frustrations, and lies
you indulge the feeling of relief that dwells
the gift and blessing of our smell

you lay and rest upon grains of sand
you lift your hand as one by one you watch them land
faster they fall as you harden your clutch
the gift and blessing of our touch

and its a moment of magic where you utter no word
but yet you know what hes thinking and somehow your heard
lips joined and two souls interlaced
the gift and blessing of our taste

I like the way you chose your words and put them together. However the flow isn't there. It seems to change within the poems. Something that will some to you in time though. Keep up the good work:)
