Our Place

by True Love Never Dies   Mar 23, 2008

Leaving my home in your silver steed
We travel together to find a place.
Through twists and turns and the traffic heed
Our fingers interlaced

Windy lanes flanked by hedgerows
And barren land outstretched
Where do we go you do not know
But in my mind it's etched

A sanctuary to which I go
Where peace and quiet I seek
To share with you this sweet repose
Of a place so small and neat

We turn the corner nice and slow
With trees all interlaced
Behold what do our eyes bestow
But a beautiful peaceful place

Hand in hand we walk towards
This peaceful tranquil scene
Two lovers hearts and souls entwined
Who on each other lean

The lake before is calm and new
With ducks and geese in flight
Each ripple is a breath from you
Each breath a kiss goodnight

The clouds they hang in wonderous awe
The shadows cast the night
The trees surrounding that we saw
Let in a shaft of light.

A click I hear and turn around
To see my love so sweet
He takes another photograph
A treasure for to keep

This scene so green and pleasant
We must return again
To live the moments that we shared
In this heaven we call our place
