Easter Poem

Joy in my heart
let the church bells ring
The sanctuary fills with voices
my heart wants to sing

and i open my mouth
to let out the sound
and love and joy
all surround

Easter lilies up in front
beautiful, snow white
sunlight filtering in
oh what a day! so bright

and for the first time in a long time
i mean it when i smile
my heart is happy
and i want to hold onto this for a while

clapping hands
and singing hearts
for a while i can forget
why i keep falling apart

so blessed those who find
in this day a beautiful joy
and blessed is the choir
and the dancing boy
