My Dad

by Lyndsey   May 22, 2004

As I'm getting older
And looking at my life
I know I owe a lot to you
And ask forgiveness for the strife

I was never the star pupil
Or the girl who did it right
All I know is you taught me well
And I tried with all my might

Sometimes I made you worry
But I always knew you cared
I did some things I am not proud of
And many that made me scared

But as the years are racing on
I see you more as "dad and friend"
And realise more than ever
We're partners to the end
