Breaking Heart

by kimberly nephew   Mar 23, 2008

The night we met I felt so alive
The stars fell from heaven
The moon shined so bright
I never thought I could ever feel this way about a man

I felt lost

I felt scared

But you said not to be afraid because you would keep me safe

But look at me now crying of the heart you broke

I loved you more than you ever realized
Those starry eyes
Those tender lips
You made my heart melt
Then boil into a roaring fire
I now know
I cared for you too much
What happened to our love
It used to be so bright
Loving, laughing, caring
Time Clicks as I wait
The hour ends before my take
Sitting, thinking, waiting; my mind escapes
The day grows old as night passes
Anticipating, watching, listening
But nothing

Silence begins the day
As morning comes without notice
Tears begin to fall, slowly
The day moves on without hope
Wishing to be what is not to be
The sun moves to its peak
Without a whisper or retreat
Time moving, but still empty
Stomach aching, tears falling
Still waiting
Hoping it's just a dream
I will wake with you by myside
But it seems i still have not woken up for you aren't there
