My Son

by Sarah Dawn   Mar 23, 2008

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die in Iraq?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die in Saudi Arabia?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die in Kuwait?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die in Vietnam?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die in Korea?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die on Iwo Jima?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die on a battlefield on a field in France?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg?"

A mother asked the President
"Why did my son have to die on a frozen field near Valley Forge?"

A long time ago

A mother looked up to the sky
With tears in her eyes
And asked God

"Why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem?"

The answer is the same for each and every one of them

"So others may have life and dwell in peace, happiness, and freedom."

Wow! This took a different turn than I thought it would. Very good! Though there is perhaps a little more repetitiveness in the beginning than is necessary...but the message is very good! You caught me off gaurd...nice :D

    Rock on!
