Alone

She couldn't hold on
he was pulling away
she couldn't make him love her
she couldn't make him stay

Maybe she tried to hard to keep him
Maybe she didn't try hard enough
but her love for him was all her own
his heart she never could touch

So he left her all by herself
in a bitter and broken home
to pick up the fragments of a perfect life
in which she now lived alone
