Perfect

by Sarah   May 22, 2004

I’m sorry I’m not perfect,
I tried to be all I could be;
A sister, a friend, a lover,
But still you couldn’t’ see.

My heart beats just to see your smile,
Feel your lips upon my lips,
Just a single glance my way,
Can bring me total bliss.

I sleep so I can dream of you,
Cause in them, we’re together,
But I know this will never be,
You have always loved another.

I know that when you kiss me,
You think of the other girl,
But is she as wiling as I am?
To make you her entire world?

I’m sorry I’m not perfect,
I tried to be all I could be,
A sister, a friend, a lover,
But you will never see.

    Nice poem.
We are not perfect, but we have perfection in us. That perfection is called 'His image'
