My Heart's Lost in Paradise

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Mar 24, 2008

There is a place in us all.
A paradise is what it is.
It is neither big nor small.
This place is hers no more than his.

Paradise exists in our minds,
Our hearts simply get lost.
It chooses to keep what it finds.
Our fingers remain crossed.

We wish to have everything,
So that we may live well.
But everything life may bring.
We live to make life swell.

So next time you dream of that great place,
Please think again my friend,
With fantasy, your life should replace.
Don't feed your heart pretend.

This was supposed to be based off of an already written title for a contest but I'm waiting for the contest results to see if I should change my title or not.

Loved it! The flow here was jus flawless and your use of words were just a joy to read. I could relate with the truth you expressed with your words so it was just wonderful for me to read. We all have a place that we call out own that holds out dreams and fantasies and you described it perfectly well done and thank you for joining my contest. *5/5*
