Lost It

by brie kelly wise   Mar 25, 2008

Four desperate kids ready for a risk
We'd do anything for a sweet cigarette and a kiss
But it seems I always knew you
Yet no other arms made more sense to climb into
We forgot about every piece of advice
About how it's too soon, the time isn't right
I was only thirteen that night
And it was the only thing that ever really felt right

It's about faith, it's about belief
But oh God did pray
That It would just go away
How could we just lose it that day?
When everything I ever believed in
Came back and exploded in my face
And someone I never recognized took place

Two innocent kids changed to two people
We weren't ready but we did what we did
And maybe I'll keep you in my heart
As I find my way out of this town
Away from what I did to you guys
I'm sorry for everything I changed
You will move on as I stick in time
But we'll always be innocent
Thank God I had you four every single day
I never would've made it any other way

It's about change, it's about moving on
Oh God how long have I been praying?
That I could just leave this town in the break
How could I just lose myself that day?
When everything I ever believed in
Suddenly all went away
And someone only he recognized took place

We won't say our goodbyes
No not tonight
We won't break this time
Now we know it's right
We can't say our goodbyes
Tonight's not the night
We won't break this time
Now I have more faith, I believe it's right

It's about a new day, it's about growing up
Oh God I will never stop praying
But I still think about that day
When everything I ever saw in you
Suddenly stole my heart and stayed
Someone I was ready for took place
And we all made it out okay
I will never forget how much I trusted you that day
I never would've made it any other way
