Light

Ashes and tears
tears and ashes
what are left are my fears
as i sit alone and cry.

along comes a light
to take away all my fright
for so long i was alone
with no place to call home

As my body becomes warm
this light is my home
my place of comfort and safety
and cradle me

tears and ashes
ashes and tears
i no longer can cry
for long gone are all my fears

this light is my home
and everything beyond
im no longer alone
or falling into ashes and tears
