Blessed Relief

by Afraid of the Dark   Mar 25, 2008

Sometimes,
Just sometimes,
The weight of it all,
Just pressing.

Unassailable mountains,
Towering waves.
A web of lies,
A tangle of truth.

And then, sometimes,
Just sometimes,
Blessed
Relief.

The loss of a weight, you never knew was there.
To be able to stand tall, proud,
Happy even.

A hero, a brother, or sister.
Father, mother, aunt, uncle,
Family.

A lover.

Blessed relief.
