This poet (and make no mistake about it, she is unquestionably one) has that rare ability to connect/make the work seem alive, poet-poem-receiver, and personal, like a "friend", when she speaks, as opposed to letting those who encounter the work in print feel like some kind of distanted "voyuer"! Yet with deftly deliveried aplomb, this poet turns a very obvious deep personal expression into something that can co-exists with a quite nicely presented feel of universality.
