I Am Your Child

by Just Keara   Mar 26, 2008

I am your child: the unborn infant within your stomach.
Filled with innocence, purity, and hope.
I long for the chance to be held
In the loving arms of yours, Mommy.

As I patiently wait for my nine month lease to end,
I sit in solitude.
Pondering the very existence of the woman
Whose womb I reside in.

I am your child: the dependent, sweet little-nothing
Who finds sanctuary in the fetal postition.
O how I wish to be acquainted with my Mommy's face.
As I grow into mommy's precious little angel,
I dream of what is to come,
What treasures life has in store for
My mommy and me.

I am your child; only asking to be given a chance,
I can just imagine the fun my mommy and i will have.
The faint pressure against your stomach
Is the result of bottled-up excitement, my anxiety.
Do you feel that Mommy? Do you?
It's me: the one everyone has been waiting for,
The on fighting for your attention.

I am your child and I ask that you keep me safe.
You are my protector. Please, do not stop loving me-
I do not wish to be named John Doe.
I have anticipated my arrival into your life,
As well as mine for quite some time now.
Please Mommy, do not become the reaper of the crop,
Slashing my hope into pieces,
Digging at every inch of my life.

For that is all I want Mommy; life.

I like how write about this, and you wrote it perfectly. I loved this part:

"I am your child: the unborn infant within your stomach.
Filled with innocence, purity, and hope.
I long for the chance to be held
In the loving arms of yours, Mommy."

That is so cool! Every line was truely amazing, and I loved the very last line, that was a really cool ending. Good Job!
