Judas was a junkie

by Michael D Nalley   Mar 26, 2008

Judas was a junkie I got no lies to tell
Longing for heaven on his way to hell
A junkie will do anything to avoid the pain
The search for a quick fix will drive anyone insane

Judas was a junkie long before he fell
Longing for heaven on his way to hell
For thirty pieces of silver a soul can get a fix
Better hold on to your heart while your mind plays tricks

Judas was a junkie does any of this ring a bell?
Are you searching for heaven on you way to hell?
The healing would be holy the healing would be pure
For the disease of an addict that has no earthly cure

Wow I loved how different and interesting this was. The topic you choice had me hooked from beginning to end and I was eager to see how you would end this. The message was clearly written and your use of words was flawless here. Well done *5/5*

Wow, a really, really good piece. I loved the slight change in the first line of each stanza. Once again, it was very well worded. I didn't really like the last line of the second stanza, it seemed rather weak to me, sorry. My favorite stanza is between the first and third, but I can't choose one over the other, sorry again. Great piece though.
