Now u smile no more

by theresadreamer   Mar 27, 2008

I didn't see you smile
as you kissed her goodnight
I didn't see you smile
as you read her letter
And I didn't see you smile
as you ran up her stairs
I didn't see you smile
as the trigger was pulled
I didn't see you smile
as the bullet went through
And I didn't see you smile
at her funeral
I didn't see you smile
as her mom fell crying
I didn't see you smile
when the said it was suicide
But when they played that movie
of your first date with her...
She was laughing;
you were blushing;
you had spilled iced tea
all over you
And i saw you smile
as you remembered her
i saw you smile
with tears down your face
The next day your face smiled at me
From every newspaper on the street
it was the second suicide in under
a week
I tacked your picture
up on the wall
That was last tine
I saw you at all
